Vontu Extends Lead in Data Loss Prevention in 2006
Leader in Protecting Data Achieves Significant Milestones in Customer Acquisition, Product Innovation and Company Growth
SAN FRANCISCO — January 29, 2007 — Vontu, Inc. today announced that it extended its leadership position in the growing market for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions in 2006, as measured by customer acquisition, award-winning products, strategic partnerships, company growth and industry recognition. Vontu continued to demonstrate strong sales execution, more than doubling year-over-year sales and outperforming all of its closest competitors. The company's financial performance and rapid customer adoption was based on its innovative products, which enable business and government to safeguard intellectual property, customer data, and sensitive or classified information.
"2006 was a landmark year for Vontu. We achieved record growth in sales, revenue and market share," said Joseph Ansanelli, chairman and CEO of Vontu. "Today, our clients include many of the world's largest and most data-driven enterprises. We are seeing demand not only from financial, retail and healthcare companies looking to safeguard customer and patient data, but increasingly from manufacturing, technology and other IP-based companies who need to protect their intellectual property. These organizations have clearly recognized the substantial business value of data loss prevention, and we are poised for an even better year in 2007."
